Position Summary
Black Collection Apparel is seeking a professional, organized, and customer-focused Customer Service Intern to support customer communication, order management, client engagement, and overall customer experience operations within our growing apparel, branding, and media company.
This internship provides hands-on experience working directly with customers, Shopify order management, event support, social media communication, and operational workflows. Interns will help support customer interactions related to apparel orders, HBCU collections, Greek organization products, Juneteenth campaigns, vendor events, and online sales initiatives.
The ideal candidate is a strong communicator, problem-solver, and team player who is passionate about customer experience, professionalism, and business operations.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Communication & Support

Respond to customer inquiries through email, phone, social media, Shopify, and messaging platforms in a professional and timely manner.

Assist customers with questions related to orders, products, shipping, sizing, customization, and event merchandise.

Help resolve customer concerns while maintaining a positive customer experience.
Order & Operations Support

Assist with Shopify order management, order tracking, and fulfillment coordination.

Maintain organized records of customer interactions, requests, and issue resolutions.

Communicate with production, sales, and operations teams to support customer needs and order accuracy.
Customer Experience & Brand Representation

Support customer engagement initiatives during vendor events, launches, and campaigns.

Help maintain a professional and welcoming brand image across all customer interactions.

Gather customer feedback and provide recommendations to improve customer satisfaction and operational processes.
Team Collaboration & Development

Participate in team meetings, workflow discussions, and customer service training sessions.

Assist with documenting frequently asked questions, procedures, and customer service resources.

Collaborate with marketing, sales, and production teams to improve customer communication and support systems.
Qualifications

Currently pursuing or recently completed studies in Business, Communications, Marketing, Customer Service, Fashion, or a related field.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to remain professional, organized, and solution-oriented in a fast-paced environment.

Familiarity with Shopify, email communication, social media platforms, or CRM systems preferred.

Strong time-management and multitasking abilities.

Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
