Position Summary
Black Collection Apparel is seeking a motivated, organized, and detail-oriented Production Specialist Intern to support apparel production, workflow management, inventory organization, quality control, and operational efficiency within our growing apparel, branding, and media company.
This internship provides hands-on experience working directly with apparel production processes including Direct to Garment (DTG) printing, embroidery, heat transfer vinyl, Direct to Film (DTF) production, order fulfillment, inventory management, and production workflow systems. The ideal candidate is interested in manufacturing operations, production systems, organization, and business operations within a fast-paced creative environment.
Key Responsibilities
Production Operations

Assist with organizing and managing daily production workflows and schedules.

Support apparel production processes including printing, pressing, embroidery preparation, packaging, and fulfillment.

Help ensure production deadlines and quality standards are met for customer and event orders.
Quality Control
-
Participate in quality assurance processes to ensure products meet company standards before completion and shipment.

Assist with checking garments for print quality, placement accuracy, sizing consistency, and packaging organization.

Help document production errors, corrections, and workflow improvements.
Inventory & Materials Management

Assist with organizing apparel inventory, production materials, vinyl, transfers, and supplies.

Help monitor inventory levels to reduce shortages and production delays.

Support receiving, organizing, labeling, and storing inventory and materials.
Equipment & Workflow Support

Learn safe operation of production equipment under supervision.

Assist with maintaining organized workstations and production areas.

Participate in process improvement discussions focused on efficiency, organization, and productivity.
Qualifications

Currently pursuing or recently completed studies in Business Administration, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Entrepreneurship, or a related field.

Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills.

Interest in apparel production, operations, manufacturing, or business systems.

Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Basic familiarity with Google Workspace, spreadsheets, or production tracking systems preferred.

Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
