Position Summary

Black Collection Apparel is seeking a creative, organized, and trend-aware Social Media Manager Intern to support social media strategy, content planning, audience engagement, and digital brand growth across multiple platforms.

This internship provides hands-on experience managing real-world marketing campaigns, apparel launches, HBCU and Greek organization promotions, Juneteenth campaigns, event coverage, and digital storytelling initiatives. The ideal candidate is passionate about social media, branding, content trends, audience growth, and building online communities.

Key Responsibilities

Content Creation & Brand Management

  • Assist with creating and organizing photo, video, graphic, and written content for Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, and Shopify.

  • Help maintain a consistent brand voice and visual identity across all digital platforms.

  • Support content creation for apparel launches, campaigns, commercials, podcasts, events, and promotional initiatives.

Social Media Strategy

  • Collaborate with marketing and content teams to build social media strategies and content calendars.

  • Assist with planning promotions, engagement campaigns, and social advertising initiatives.

  • Support short-form video strategies focused on audience growth and engagement.

Community Engagement

  • Monitor social media platforms for trends, viral content opportunities, customer feedback, and audience engagement.

  • Respond to comments, direct messages, and audience interactions professionally and promptly.

  • Help grow and engage online communities connected to HBCUs, Greek organizations, fashion, entrepreneurship, and culture.

Analytics & Reporting

  • Track engagement, reach, follower growth, video performance, and campaign analytics across platforms.

  • Assist with analyzing content performance and identifying opportunities for growth and optimization.

  • Help create reports and dashboards for social media and marketing performance metrics.

Research & Trend Monitoring

  • Research social media trends, competitor activity, influencer strategies, and emerging digital marketing tools.

  • Stay updated on trends related to fashion, media, HBCU culture, Greek life, and digital storytelling.

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communications, Media Studies, Public Relations, Digital Media, or a related field.

  • Strong interest in social media marketing, branding, content creation, and audience engagement.

  • Familiarity with Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, and content scheduling tools preferred.

  • Basic knowledge of Canva, CapCut, Adobe Creative Suite, or editing software is a plus.

  • Strong communication, creativity, and organizational skills.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
