Position Title: Social Media Manager Intern

Department: Marketing

Position Summary:

We are seeking an energetic and creative Social Media Manager Intern to join our marketing team. This internship will provide the opportunity to engage with and grow our online community through various social media platforms. The ideal candidate should have a strong grasp of current marketing tools and strategies and be able to lead integrated social media marketing campaigns from concept to execution.

Key Responsibilities:

Content Creation:

  • Assist in the creation and editing of written, video, and photo content.
  • Maintain unified brand voice across different social media channels.

Social Media Strategy:

  • Collaborate with marketing team members to create a social media marketing plan and editorial calendar.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of promotions and social ad campaigns.

Community Engagement:

  • Monitor social media platforms for trending news, ideas, and feedback.
  • Respond to comments and DMs on various platforms in a timely and professional manner.
  • Foster community engagement and build relationships with followers and influencers.

Analytics:

  • Track and analyze analytics reports to gain insight into traffic, demographics, and effectiveness; utilize this information to positively affect future outcomes.
  • Report on social media engagement and growth metrics to senior management.

Research:

  • Stay up-to-date with current technologies and trends in social media, design tools, and applications.
  • Benchmark and research competitor and industry leaders' social media strategies.

Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communications, Media Studies, or a related field.
  • Strong familiarity with the business applications of social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, TikTok, LinkedIn, etc.).
  • Understanding of the fundamentals of content marketing.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in using multi-social posting programs such as Hootsuite and Buffer.
  • Creative mindset with the ability to multitask and identify future trends.
