Position Title: Financial Analyst Intern

Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated Financial Analyst Intern to join our finance team. This internship will offer the successful candidate a unique opportunity to gain real-world experience in financial analysis and strategic decision-making in a dynamic corporate setting. Key Responsibilities:
Data Analysis:
- Assist in analyzing financial statements and reports to identify trends, forecast future revenues and expenditures, and provide actionable insights.
- Support the monthly close process, including journal entries, variance analysis, and internal financial reporting.
Budgeting and Forecasting:
- Help develop and maintain budget models and assist in the preparation of financial forecasts.
- Collaborate with different departments to gather financial data and ensure budget adherence.
Project Support:
- Participate in strategic projects aimed at improving financial performance and operational efficiencies.
- Provide analytical support for business case development and return on investment analyses.
Reporting:
- Assist in the preparation of presentation materials and financial reports for management meetings.
- Create and update dashboards that provide insights into key financial metrics.
Market Research:
- Conduct industry research to support financial projections and investment decisions.
- Monitor economic trends that may impact the company’s financial performance.
- Conduct and secure grant opportunities in which the company is eligible.
Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and data gathering skills.
- Proficiency in Excel and other financial software tools.
- Basic understanding of financial reporting principles and ratios.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and manage multiple projects.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
