Position Summary

Black Collection Apparel is seeking a creative, motivated, and detail-oriented Graphic Designer Intern to support the development of visual content, apparel graphics, marketing materials, and digital branding initiatives within our growing apparel, branding, and media company.

This internship provides hands-on experience working on real-world projects involving HBCU collections, Greek organization apparel, Juneteenth campaigns, social media graphics, product launches, website visuals, commercials, event promotions, and brand campaigns. The ideal candidate is passionate about design, culture, branding, fashion, and creative storytelling.


Key Responsibilities

Design & Creative Development

  • Assist in creating digital and print graphics for social media, Shopify, marketing campaigns, promotional materials, and apparel collections.

  • Develop mockups, promotional graphics, advertisements, email campaign visuals, and event marketing materials.

  • Support the creation of HBCU, Greek organization, Juneteenth, homecoming, and cultural apparel concepts.


Brand Collaboration & Creative Strategy

  • Help maintain consistent brand identity across all platforms and campaigns.

  • Participate in brainstorming sessions focused on creative campaigns, product launches, and marketing strategies.

  • Collaborate with marketing, social media, fashion, and production teams on visual content initiatives.


Project Management & Workflow

  • Manage multiple creative assignments while meeting deadlines and maintaining quality standards.

  • Prepare mockups, revisions, and presentation-ready design concepts for leadership review.

  • Organize design files, templates, assets, and creative project folders.


Learning & Industry Development

  • Stay updated on design trends, fashion culture, typography, branding, and social media creative trends.

  • Receive feedback and mentorship from experienced creatives and leadership team members.

  • Learn real-world design workflows connected to apparel production, marketing, and branding.


Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed studies in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, Digital Media, Marketing, or a related field.

  • Familiarity with Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Canva, Procreate, or other design software.

  • Strong creative thinking and visual communication skills.

  • Portfolio or work samples demonstrating design ability preferred.

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.

  • Ability to work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
