Position Summary

Black Collection Apparel is seeking a creative, innovative, and technology-driven App Development Intern to support the development of digital tools, mobile applications, operational systems, and technology solutions that improve customer experience, business efficiency, and workflow automation.

This internship provides hands-on experience working on real-world technology initiatives related to inventory systems, business operations, customer engagement tools, internal dashboards, event management systems, e-commerce integrations, and future mobile app development projects. Interns will collaborate with leadership, Shopify developers, AI & Automation teams, and operations staff to help build scalable digital systems for the company.

The ideal candidate is passionate about technology, software development, app design, problem-solving, and digital innovation.

Key Responsibilities

App & System Development

  • Assist with designing and developing internal business tools, operational systems, and mobile/web application concepts.

  • Support projects related to inventory management systems, customer engagement platforms, and workflow automation tools.

  • Collaborate with technology and operations teams to improve digital business processes.

User Experience & Interface Support

  • Assist with wireframes, user interface concepts, app layouts, and user experience improvements.

  • Help organize feedback related to app functionality, usability, and customer experience.

  • Support testing and troubleshooting of digital tools and systems.

Technology & Integration Support

  • Assist with integrating applications and systems with Shopify, analytics tools, automation platforms, and operational workflows.

  • Support development of dashboards, tracking systems, and business reporting tools.

  • Help document development progress, technical workflows, and project updates.

Research & Innovation

  • Research emerging app development trends, business technologies, AI integrations, and digital tools.

  • Participate in brainstorming sessions focused on innovation, scalability, and customer experience improvements.

  • Assist with identifying opportunities to improve operational efficiency through technology.

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed studies in Computer Science, Software Development, Information Technology, App Development, Engineering, or a related field.

  • Interest in mobile app development, software systems, business technology, and digital innovation.

  • Familiarity with programming languages such as Python, JavaScript, Swift, React, Flutter, or similar technologies preferred.

  • Basic understanding of APIs, databases, UI/UX design, or system integrations is a plus.

  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
