Position Summary

Black Collection Apparel is seeking a creative, reliable, and detail-oriented Videographer / Media Production Intern to support video production, event coverage, commercial content, interviews, social media videos, and behind-the-scenes storytelling.

This internship provides hands-on experience filming real business content for apparel campaigns, product launches, Juneteenth promotions, HBCU and Greek collections, vendor events, podcasts, commercials, and documentary-style projects. The ideal candidate is interested in videography, storytelling, content production, branding, and creative media.

Interns will have opportunities to work with professional media equipment including:

  • Nikon D3500

  • Blackmagic Cinema Camera 6K

  • DJI RS3 Pro Stabilizer

  • Professional lighting equipment

  • Audio and microphone systems

  • Content production accessories and creative tools

Key Responsibilities

Video Production

  • Assist with filming short-form videos, commercials, interviews, behind-the-scenes content, and event recaps.

  • Capture high-quality footage for social media, Shopify, YouTube, promotional campaigns, and brand storytelling.

  • Support filming for apparel launches, photo shoots, vendor events, podcasts, and company documentaries.

Creative Planning

  • Participate in brainstorming video concepts, shot lists, campaign ideas, and storytelling formats.

  • Help plan production schedules, filming locations, and content needs for upcoming campaigns and events.

  • Collaborate with content creators, editors, social media managers, and design teams.

Equipment & Production Support

  • Assist with camera setup, lighting, audio, staging, and production organization.

  • Learn proper handling and operation of cameras, stabilizers, lighting systems, and production equipment.

  • Help maintain and organize media files, footage, and production assets.

  • Support professional and organized filming environments during shoots.

Brand & Content Support

  • Help ensure all video content aligns with Black Collection Apparel’s brand, audience, and campaign goals.

  • Capture content that highlights culture, creativity, fashion, entrepreneurship, teamwork, and community impact.

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed studies in Film, Media Production, Communications, Digital Media, Marketing, or a related field.

  • Interest in videography, storytelling, content creation, and brand media.

  • Familiarity with cameras, smartphones, lighting, audio equipment, or video production tools preferred.

  • Basic knowledge of video composition, framing, lighting, and audio is a plus.

  • Strong communication, organization, and time-management skills.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
