Position Summary

Black Collection Apparel is seeking a creative, organized, and media-driven Podcast & Interview Production Intern to support podcast production, guest coordination, interview preparation, content planning, and multimedia storytelling initiatives.

This internship provides hands-on experience producing real podcast episodes, interviews, behind-the-scenes content, documentaries, and business storytelling projects connected to entrepreneurship, HBCUs, Greek organizations, fashion, culture, vendor experiences, and community engagement. Interns will help support all stages of podcast and interview production from planning to publishing.

The ideal candidate is passionate about media, storytelling, interviewing, communication, podcasting, and content production.

Key Responsibilities

Podcast Production & Coordination

Assist with podcast planning, scheduling, guest outreach, and interview preparation.
Support podcast recording sessions, production setup, and content organization.
Help coordinate episode topics, production schedules, and publishing timelines.

Interview & Storytelling Support

Assist with preparing interview questions, discussion topics, and show outlines.
Participate in interviews with entrepreneurs, creators, interns, business owners, community leaders, and event attendees.
Help capture stories related to Black Collection Apparel, fashion, culture, entrepreneurship, and community experiences.

Media Content & Promotion

Assist with creating promotional clips, captions, episode summaries, thumbnails, and social media content for podcasts and interviews.
Collaborate with videographers, editors, social media teams, and communications interns on promotional campaigns.
Help organize media assets, audio files, production notes, and episode archives.

Production & Research

Research podcast trends, interview formats, media strategies, and audience engagement opportunities.
Support setup and organization of microphones, cameras, lighting, and recording equipment.
Assist with documenting production workflows and content processes.

Qualifications

Currently pursuing or recently completed studies in Communications, Journalism, Media Production, Broadcasting, Marketing, Public Relations, or a related field.
Strong communication, organization, and storytelling skills.
Interest in podcasting, interviewing, media production, entrepreneurship, and content creation.
Familiarity with podcast platforms, social media, video/audio editing, or recording equipment preferred.
Comfortable communicating with guests, team members, and audiences.
Ability to work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
